Barcelona have been on a roll under Hansi Flick since the start of the season as they have gone unbeaten through the start of La Liga. However, it seems the injury curse has followed the Catalan side from Xavi Hernandez's campaign last season as Olmo picked up an injury during Barcelona's statement 4-1 win over Girona.

Barcelona announced that Olmo picked up a hamstring injury during the win at Montilivi. The club has also announced that the Euro 2024 joint-top scorer will miss four to five weeks of action and could be a doubt for the first El Clasico of the season on October 27.

In more positive news for Barcelona, Fermin Lopez, who starred at the summer Olympics in Paris, is nearing full fitness once again and could be available for their clash this weekend against Villarreal.
